I went through Fisher and Tyler's room this week and did some spring cleaning & reorganization. I had to take some pictures of a couple of pictures in his treasure box. First is a note from his buddy Joe, he is a cute kid and Fisher's best buddy. I think he has good taste in friends because I am friends with Joe's mom and think the whole family is pretty fantastic. There is a picture of Joe and Fisher.
Next are two christmas cards- one with Logan in it, and one with Lizza in it. Logan is a best buddy from Kansas that he hasn't seen in a year and a half and still will ask when he can play with Logan next. We adore all of our cousins, on both sides of the family, but Lizza is something extra special. She has a way with kids that is amazing, and Fisher is her #1 fan.
So this picture was in Fisher's backpack on friday, and is maybe a Mother's dream come true. :) What could make me happier than my kids enjoying and loving each other...nothing. It would be a BIG FAT LIE if I said on here that they are best friends and love to play together and it is all peaches and roses. It absolutely is not. Most of the time is is peach pits and rose thorns. I know some families aren't like that, but that's the way it is with our first 2. Lately they have been having a lot of fun playing together. Now that their interests are similar and Tyler can do more things, and they are talking and listening (I feel like I have posted this before.....hmmmm)
I am preparing myself for the dive it is all sure to take in the summer time- and trying to plan somethings to prevent that. (Did I do this exact post last year?? I'm having de ja vu.) This morning they discovered a new game where they crawl into the bathroom cupboards with flashlights and hang out with the lights off. They are thrilled with it. :)
And I am thrilled that they are not yelling, fighting, or injuring each other.
Speaking of injuring each other, Tyler has a pretty nasty looking eye because they were playing T-ball in their room friday night, and didn't have a T. So fisher balanced the ball on the top of the light saber. But it would fall over, so Tyler held the lightsaber to balance it. ..Wham he got it right in the eye. I wasn't there for any of this, I just heard the story and the sad cries afterward. Fisher was very nice and SINCERELY said "sorry sorry sorry Ty. Are you okay. Sorry sorry sorry." I have heard the sorry sorry sorry's before but only so that he doesn't get in trouble from me. --maybe somebody has the sproutings of a conscience????? :)
So, I am reveling now in the times of friendship and brotherhood.
These are some pictures from opening day. Fisher with his flag, the team banner, the kids on the field. We didn't win the 100$ btw. The Dodgers had the CUTEST flag you have ever seen. I should ask who made it and how. They made a bobble head of each of the boys using a real picture of their head. It was incredible. I will take a picture.

Achievements
Tyler and Fisher both enjoy building the little projects at Home Depot each month. Fisher is to the point now where he can hammer in the nails by himself and do a pretty good job with a little direction. I get the nails started for Tyler and he finishes pounding them in.
I loved this picture because, once again, it has our family and I am holding baby alexander. I would like that little stick family blown up and framed on my wall. :)
This is a picture of Fisher that his friend, Oannillie, drew of him at school.

School work
Spelling test, -ot word family. I thought the surprise bonus word she threw in was great "snot". She is the best teacher :)
"I like_____" sentences. It shows a good order of favorites. Soccer on top.
"I see a turkey. I like the turkey. I like my turkey." I like his upside down turkey picture. Cute :)

Fisher art, 5 years old
This is on the back of the umbrella picture. To me it looks like a mountain with stars in the middle. That is the way he draws stars. It could be some sort of a spaceship with missiles though. Art is in the eye of the beholder.
How cute is this. A rainbow. The top is our family. I am the one in the glasses. That is my favorite, ever. The bottom are my sisters kids. Trevor, sammie, Jerry, and Sadie. Anytime we visit with cousins the art revolves around them for awhile.
This is a paper that came home from school. I especially liked the drawing of the animal. I think it is a giraffe with the long neck. Could be a tiger. I really should blog this stuff sooner before I forget his description.
Going through the boys room
I was doing some spring cleaning and found some things that need to go, but I would like to remember. So- here are some old decorations for the boys room that I made with Ashley Dunlap in Kansas. They liked them and would be sad to know they got thrown away- but they were just sitting in the closet collecting dust & taking up space.
This is one of Fisher's projects that he did when it was rainy this winter. He wanted to go outside to play in the rain, but it was too cold & I told him we don't have an umbrella to stay dry. He went off to his room and made umbrellas, out of large construction paper. One for him & one for Tyler.
Umbrella drawing. I probably should have invested in one for him this year. Apparently he has a thing for umbrellas. :) D'oh.
